A special evening was held for Canadian Tire Series drivers, teams, car owners, sponsors, officials and all their families on Saturday, October 10, 2007 at the Hilton Toronto/Markham Conference Centre. At the event, Kent was selected and recognized by 2007 NASCAR Canadian Tire series drivers as the recipient of the Sportsmanship Award for his work both on and off the track. Kent Nuhn, driver of the No. 09 The Fuel Genie/Nuhn’s Auto Recycler’s Pontiac Grand Prix, has been racing since the age of nine.
He and his race team, that consists of his family and the owners of The Fuel Genie, has three 2005 Grand Prix race cars. Two of these are used for racing and one is for promotions and sponsorship strategies. His team is one of the most hard-working and energetic ones around. WILLIAMSFORD, Ontario — Returning to what they consider their home track for the Mopar 300, Kent Nuhn and the 09 The Fuel Genie/Nuhns Auto Recyclers Pontiac Grand Prix team hoped to improve in last years 14th place finish.
After qualifying 18th with a 14.352 sec. lap on the 1/3 mile tri-oval at Barrie Speedway, Kent and his team earned a hard fought 12th place finish.
